What Will the Senior Budget Analyst Do?
- Monitor, review, analyze, and report on budgets and financial matters for all departments within the organization.
- Recommend improvements for budget management as needed.
- Provide budgetary, accounting, and financial decision support, including projections of annual expenditures with recommendations.
- Guide budget managers in developing program and departmental budgets.
- Prepare year-end schedules to assist external auditors with annual audits and support internal teams with financial reporting.
- Update Capital Assets manuals and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations to minimize fraud risks.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain productivity metrics, conducting trend analyses and reporting results.
- Create and refine performance measures as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and/or statistical analysis
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred, as this role will oversee one direct report
